Birthday away from home hits differently..

So today was my birthday.

It was a decent day, my firm celebrated it, said some really kind things about me, and I'm grateful for that. But I spent the whole day working (even overtime) because I have an important meeting tomorrow.

The only thing that felt missing was my family and friends. Being away from home on your birthday is a different kind of feeling.

I guess this is the life I always wanted, so I can't really complain. Just felt like sharing.
