A1C of 11.7

Newly Diagnosed

So in April of this year I was Diagnosed T2D with an A1C of 11.7, my fasting blood Sugar was 353. I didn't know the signs of T2D but when looking back they were all there. A lot of the signs were masked to friends with T2D because at the beginning of that month I had gone home to visit my parents, mostly what was supposed to be a final good bye to my dad. Extremely long story short a 5 day vacation turned into a 31 day work from home trip where dad ended up getting a lung transplant. He is still here with us today.

Having friends that do not regulate their blood sugar, extended family that also doesn't. I refused to become one of them where my numbers are all over, be on kidney dialysis, lose any limbs.

Yesterday I got my blood drawn for my 3 month follow up exam and I am extremely happy that my A1C is now 6.4. Things are moving in the right direction. I am on Mounjaro and 2x daily Metformin.
