possibly dumb question

hiya everyone, I haven't fully played the game since 2023 - ish up until a few weeks ago, so this might be a stupid question, but why does it seem like plat (fill) teammates play significantly worse than gold ones?

obviously both ranks aren't the best to begin with, and paired with solo queueing only makes it more terrible, but I noticed that 8/10, my gold teammates would be able to complete my pass to them, *sometimes* they will pass to me if I don't get someone chasing for mvp (no big deal to me tbh so long as we win in the end), and will be able to defend in rotation relatively good for what you expect from golds. this helps me win most of my gold games, granted the other team dont know some new crazy mechanics i haven't yet gotten used to (working on this ahah)

.. but then in my plat games, it's the complete opposite? i will admit that I'm definitely pretty rusty and dont hit every shot i try, but the amount of aerials, open goals, passes, etc i have seen them miss is a little concerning. even if i set them up perfectly, the other team flying away and giving them enough chance to score, i look to where they are and they're backed up as much as possible into our goal. then in about 4 seconds the other team are back at it and hitting the ball away if I'm unfortunate enough to not hit it in myself in time

so my question is, does anyone have any advice on how to counteract my teammates plays better? or if there's any reason why the difference in playing is? the only thing I can think of is most golds panic hit/chase the ball, but from years in the past I remember both ranks having problems with that (I was a constant goalie and saw it all in 3s lol)

(small note: I dont personally think I would be anything higher than diamond at most since my hands aren't fit for any amazing mechanics besides a couple I learnt back in 2021-2022, and I'm content with being in a 'shit rank' since I still have fun at the end of the day, just a bit annoying flip flopping between gold and plat 🥲)

TLDR: flip flopping between gold and plat because plat solo q teammates seem to miss shots & passes, how to get better at adapting to their plays?
