Post Surgical Pain

I'm a month and a couple of days PO from having my laparoscopic sigmoidectomy (12" removed). I'm still experiencing a fair amount of pain when sitting up for more than like half an hour or after walking more than like 2500 steps/day. Is this the usual experience? Any window for when it got better for y'all? I know it's all individual but I was so hoping that my constant pain would be relieved after the procedure. Is it still early days and I'm being a whiny baby? Lol
