I hope this isn't a silly question

I'm looking at buying the doctor pen.H3 or h5

I have read some conflicting information about the needles.In the cartridges themselves.

Are the needles hollow as if liquid can come through?The center of the needle, or is it just coming out of the cartridge around the need?
