Need Help Finding a Gift

Someone I work for, and have grown a personal relationship with, personally invited my girlfriend and I on a plane for a couple days with tickets to a ball game. Said we’d be responsible for transport to and from the airport and hotel. I don’t know how much more would be included, but he’s said that part.

What can/should I get as a thank you gift? And when should I present it? Prior to take off or getting back?
