Houston Area PE Teacher/Coach Advice Needed

I’m a retired U.S. Army leader transitioning into education. I’ve passed the Texas EC–12 PE exam and I’m completing my MAT through Lamar University.
I have 14 years of leadership experience and 10+ years coaching youth basketball. My goal is to become a middle school PE teacher and girls basketball coach in the Houston/Katy area.
For Houston-area educators and coaches:
What districts or schools would you recommend I target? Any advice on getting my foot in the door as a PE teacher/coach?

Thanks!
