Home Repair Win

Story

Since I have no where else to celebrate this I figured my fellow dads would appreciate.

Our bathroom faucet had been dripping for months. Recently it increased to a slow stream. My wife watched a bunch of videos and we determined it was the shower faucet cartridge. We have an older Delta style single handle system.

Be aware that I am not the Mr fixit type. I am a first time home owner who grew up in apartments. So this is a big deal to me.

The first issue was the screw under the knob. Stripped. A bunch of tools later and I as able to drill a hole and use a Torx bit to get it out. Then after some fighting I got the cartridge and was able to get the new one in.

NO MORE DRIPS! My wife has been so happy for almost 2 days now.

TL:DR I replaced a shower cartridge for the first time and my wife is so happy. And that brings me a lot of joy
