19m - turkish student spending my summer in new york. looking to connect with someone older and mature for genuine conversations

i’m 19 (turning 20 in a few months) and a first-year economics student from istanbul, but right now i’m living in new york for the summer. i’ll be here until mid-september, working and just trying to experience the city as much as possible. since i’m in a completely new place, i figured it’s the perfect time to hop on here and find some cool people to connect with.

to tell you a bit more about myself: back home, i’m an incredibly social and active guy. i used to do sports semi-professionally, and even though i’m a bit more passive now, i still spend a lot of time hitting the gym, playing basketball, and running. i’m a huge fan of going to live concerts, traveling, and exploring new spots.

but at the same time, i have a total nerd side—i can get completely lost in a great movie, a gripping series, or just deep-diving into random, complex topics.

i’ve always felt like i communicate much better with women who are a bit older and more mature than me. there's just a different kind of energy, confidence, and perspective there that i really appreciate. i’m a genuinely good listener, and i honestly love sharing experiences, trading cultural perspectives, or even getting some mentorship and life advice from someone who has seen a bit more of the world than i have.

i'm really looking for open-minded people who enjoy real, unfiltered conversations where we can talk about absolutely anything. no superficial small talk—let’s talk about life, goals, what drives us, or whatever random thought pops into our heads.
