Horror game concept style VHS: "Tales of the Night Shift - The Hot Dog Stand" (Would you play this?)

Hey everyone! I’m a huge fan of Fears to Fathom and Tales Beyond the Tomb, and I decided to create a concept for my own psychological horror game focused heavily on storytelling. I would love to get your feedback on this!

The game is called Tales of the Night Shift: The Hot Dog Stand.

The Setting:
The game would be a 2-player co-op or single-player experience. You play as two employees working at a metal hot dog stand (food truck) parked in the middle of an isolated town square in an American suburb. The game starts in the late afternoon—very calm, with the sun setting—and transitions into the night in real-time until midnight strikes, bringing a thick, heavy fog over the entire square.

The Gameplay:
At first, the gameplay focuses on your urban routine: taking orders from weird customers, cooking on the grill, and cleaning the tables. In co-op mode, one player stays inside cooking while the other has to step out into the dark to fetch supplies from a car trunk or clean the patio, creating a huge sense of vulnerability. [1]

The Twist (Multiple Threats & Multiple Endings):
The biggest feature is that, depending on your choices and actions during your shift, the midnight hours will trigger three completely different threats, each leading to its own unique ending:

  1. The Window Stalker: A masked man starts watching you from a distance near the broken streetlights. He slowly gets closer until he breaks the glass to hunt you down. The gameplay shifts to locking everything up, using a rotary phone to call the cops, and monitoring security cameras.
  2. The Black Suitcase: A shady customer forgets a black suitcase on a table. Upon opening it, you find weapons and cash from a real-life crime. The owner (a fugitive serial killer) returns heavily armed to get it back, triggering a terrifying stealth/chase sequence through the dark suburban streets.
  3. The Local Cult: The neighbors from the suburb start acting extremely bizarre, eventually surrounding your food truck wearing hoods at 2 AM (connecting the game to a local cult lore).

The main goal is to focus 100% on urban psychological horror, VHS aesthetics, and the claustrophobic feeling of being trapped inside a "metal box" in the middle of nowhere while danger lurks outside.

What do you guys think about this real-time transition and multiple threats mechanic? Would you play this or watch a YouTuber play it? Let me know your thoughts!
