New HA user and Unifi

Hi All,

New to the HA world, coming from HomeKit the last few years and Google home before that. I bought a HA Green yesterday and am attempting to set it up this morning.

All my IoT devices are on their own VLAN, with the exception of of my Apple TV 4K which is being used as a Thread Border router. That is on my way "trusted network", should I also place my HA Green on that network, or on the IoT VLAN?

I'm having trouble getting my Apple TV to connect, although it's been detected.

I'd placed HA Green on the IoT network, what firewall rules are you using?

I have the following firewall rules in place:
Allow IoT to Apple Home Hub
Allow IoT Return traffic
Block IoT to my "trusted" Network
