Airbnb or Hotel?

I love an Airbnb. My sister loves a good hotel. We’re at odds with what’s a better choice for traveling to Greece (Athens & Crete specifically).

What do you think is the better choice for a place like Greece?

And, if anyone has a recommendation for an Airbnb or hotel they stayed in that WOWED them. Open to other areas as well!
