**Painting number 7 - ‘dismemberment’**

**散相 (‘scatter’)**

Sanso looks like a hybrid of a human and a lizard. He has sharp claws on his hands and feet, a strong, flexible tail, and small horns on his head; his entire body, except for his face, is covered in hard, light-colored scales. His face is human except for his pointed teeth and long tongue. He possesses human-level intelligence and is capable of speech. Like all his siblings, Sanso can transform his cursed energy into toxic blood.
His body possesses an exceptional defensive mechanism - autotomy. Sanso can sever his tail or a limb from his body at any time, and it will subsequently regenerate completely. Therefore, he can only be killed by damaging his head. Sanso can also fire his sharp, hard scales - accelerated by his cursed energy - with precision and at a high rate, like bullets. This technique is activated along Flowing Red Scale.

When he breaks off a number of scales and connects them with a thickened thread of blood, he creates a weapon that functions as a razor-sharp chain whip. However, he can also transform the whip into a sword at any time by composing the scales together.

Sanso uses blood manipulation mainly by shooting toxic blood from his eyes, similar to the horned lizards of the Phrynosoma genus. He shoots pressurized blood from his eyes as single, sharp beams that inflict spear-like stab wounds with great precision and at high speed, even over long distances.
When he covers one eye with his hand and focuses his cursed energy in the other, he fires a beam of blood with the same piercing force and speed as Piercing Blood technique.
When he covers both eyes and uses this technique, a number of smaller, sharp beams of blood shoot out from between his fingers. He uses this attack at close range usually when facing multiple opponents.
