Is SODIMM DDR 5 better than UDIMM DDR4 when pushing new architecture of pc?
Hello
So I've been wondering about one thing. I want to upgrade my pc, my list is:
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
ASRock B850M pro rs
Deepcool AK620 G2 digital NX
But I have DDR 4 UDIMM and no money for DDR 5 UDIMM.
My IT friend proposed a deal that he will get my DDR4 UDIMM 32GB and I will get his DDR5 SODIMM 32GB with an adapter, clear exchange with no additional costs. I usually play games that are hard on CPU such as CS2 or render videos etc. I do not have a good GPU, GTX 1660, but that will be my next upgrade. I feel like this deal might be good, until RAM prices will drop down. I will have a base for next gen architecture, SSD's with PCie 5.0 etc. But I'm somewhat scared it will drop down on my performance. Right now I have Ryzen 5 1600 6 core so it's not really great and on second though i had idea for holding on for my DDR 4 UDIMM and buying Ryzen 7 5800 for its latest version to hold on the DDR 4's. What do you think?
