SIRI being weird with DISCO codes
I'm experiencing a really confusing process with SIRI for my 2nd work visa (SPL scheme), as SIRI seems to be inconsistent with their requests.
My application started on May 1st, for a company I worked for under my previous visa (and then I returned home for a year). So we did the whole process again, like we did in 2024 when I was first approved.
But since May 1st SIRI came back to me 3x with requests for DISCO code revisions, as it seems to be difficult for them to understand how to clasify my job (SEO mixed with sales, senior). It is also very stressing because it takes them 1 month between each answer/question.
The confusion started last month when they asked us to change the code to be the same one as in 2024 application per their recommendation, to be aligned since it's basically the same contract and role. So we did that. The salary also fit into the bracket and was above the regional minimum.
Last week they came back saying that they think the code (which they recommended) is wrong and came up with a different one, that makes no sense at all (put me as a programmer/software developer which I have no experience in or ever touches the SEO+sales tasks I do). Also the salary for that code is significantly higher which exceedes the contract by over 1/4 of amount.
It seems like they are only looking to ask for crazy amounts of salary, which I'm not against, but is honestly unrealistic for the job market, and with both previous and current contract I had a pretty nice salary and could live comfortably in Aarhus. Rather than discussing and understanding the actual role and what the company does.
It is alsi super stressful because we did everything as they asked, on their recommendation, and they now break their own word and say it's wrong. The salary is way above SPL minimum, the company is one of the most successful companies in the niche in Denmark, the contract is strong and I already lived in Denmark with the visa before.
It feels like they are making it impossible on purpose, even if it means they are going against their own words.
Calling them also brings nothing as they will only provide information on the latest documentation they received. It is also very difficult to communicate like that when it takes them 1 month for a simple reply, and then it takes 180° turn.
I would appreciate any recent experiences if you had any, or if you know there is a legal way to solve this, as I'm really starting to think they deliberately want to stall this or make it impossible to reach.
Thank you and wishing everyone good outcomes with your visas 🙏
