Please help! I just got this piece of fabric from BeStitchMe to do this Bella Filipina piece Lady Antheia (Pic 2). It’s my first time buying a hand dyed fabric, and the fabric itself was pretty pricey at SGD120. But since it’s a hand dyed fabric, and a pretty large piece I was ready to pay that price.

The fabric just arrived (Pic 4) and there are some issues with it (for my use case).

**1. It’s too small.**
I purchased 1/2 yard, which is 36x29 inches (Pic 3). The fabric itself came 33.5x26.5 inches. The finished piece would be about 28 by 18 inches. By height there isn’t enough space for a border. I understand that fabrics shrink after dying, so would it be possible that the FO would be smaller than 28 by 18 inches? And that this is actually a non issue?

**2. The purple part of the fabric is in the middle.**
In the advertised picture the blue was in the centre, and in my mind that would be a perfect blue sky for the lady in the garden. But it came purple, and if I were to do the piece from the centre of this fabric there would be very minimal blue and green visible. I understand for hand dyed fabrics there is variation. But this makes the fabric unusable for this use case in my eyes.

I planned for this piece to be done for my wedding, so I wanted it to be as perfect as possible.

Some potential causes of action
1. Contact customer service, explain the issue and ask for a return. However, I think it’s unlikely I’ll get a return because there are a lot of disclaimers on the site and my unhappiness with this fabric is covered by the disclaimers. I totally understand as well, the fabric is GORGEOUS. I just don’t think it would fit my use case.

2. Get a new piece of this fabric, but either (a) request that the blue be in the centre, because I want to use it for this specific project (b) get 1 yard (SGD213 💀💀💀💀) so I can cut the piece myself.

Would be happy to hear your suggestions. I am quite in shambles at the moment because I spent a butt load on this and didn’t account for the inconsistencies when I bought it 😭 (rookie mistake)
