Why is it so hard to spend money on yourself

I’m 19 and started earning last year, but I really struggle to spend money on myself. I love spending on my family instead even though I wouldn’t say they’re always great to me, spending on myself still makes me feel guilty for some reason.

Honestly, I feel like this is a pretty common thing with guys in general. We just don’t spend on ourselves easily.

The one exception is food. I genuinely love trying out new places to eat. But even that I end up doing alone, not because I don’t want company, but because I just can’t seem to find anyone to hang out with. 😭
