Any flim or VFX industry ppl??

My brother is into video editing & VFX animation. He completed an online BBA degree from Jain University & has around 3 years of freelance experience in video editing.

He's now planning to specialize in VFX, but we're confused weather to pursue an MS degree from a reputed university or enroll in a regular VFX course offered by a private academy?
