How can I be more okay with showering?
I hate many things about showering. It makes me really cold, but at the same time I feel like I'm being burned and hurt by the water. If I turn the temp down it makes me even colder and I'm shivering by the time I get out. I really hate the feeling of being wet. I can't stand how showering interrupts my day and takes up time when I could be doing something more interesting. I would love to watch YouTube videos in the shower to make it less boring but I live with 3 other people and am very self-conscious about watching anything without headphones. Even though I don't think they would mind something about it just makes me very anxious. The amount of tasks you have to do in the shower and afterwards makes it feel like work. And all your work is just reset in a day or two and you have to do it again. I feel like that guy who pushes the rock up the mountain (I can't remember how to spell his name).
I really want to be clean. I usually shower every other day because I just can't summon the willpower to do it every day. It feels like asking myself to go get in the torture chamber for 20 minutes. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I could suffer less lol? I was told I would grow out of hating showers but I'm an adult now and it's never gotten any more bearable. I've also been told I'm making a big deal out of it and it's just my attitude that's making me hate it. But nobody can explain the actual steps to fix my attitude about it.
