Ads on sleep screen fee

I can’t believe kindle locks the sleep screen behind a paywall. I did not agree to them and got them anyway. Such a hassle to contact customer service to try to get it removed without a fee. They should do away with this practice as it’s just a petty money grab opportunity on amazons part.
