Nobody get Jax/Pomnis relationship
I get the idea that most posts have the spoilers I'll be talking about blatantly through them, so I'll just start by saying it's about Jax being trans.
I am also Trans, and while I don't relate to Jax 1:1, I do have one thing in common. I don't have the confidence to come out publicly. I've told my family, and faceless people on the Internet, but I don't like being outed because I don't have the resources I need to feel like myself.
The point I'm getting at is that nobody understands that Jax's relationship with Pomni Literally shows him letting her into his most private thoughts that he had chained in the closet (because he hadn't come out yet). Very basic symbolism. She was there for him despite the terrible things he did.
So why, when I'm only slightly cynical, letting out my inner critic on reddit because I can't be mean irl. When I'm baiting people with very clearly bs stuff that I can easily defend as either a joke or having enough truth in it that it makes sense. Whenever I act even 1% like Jax, Nobody can see it...
None of you can spot a person in 1% a situation like Jax, none of you try to pull others out of that kind of behavior, so how can any of you say that you understood the character at all.
And just in case it's not clear, this is me venting, I'm not attacking anyone specific, I'm just lashing out because I lack confidence, just like Jax. Anybody who actually understands the character wouldn't need me to spell that out, but the Jax fan club didn't understand the subtext of my last post, so I don't expect the people who don't like him to get it either.
TLDR: try to actually notice real people like Jax and think about any simple ways to help.
(I basically just got told by a trans woman that my journey as a trans woman is not relatable like Jax is, and it kind of felt insulting, and all I was saying is that being a woman isn't a major part of his character and the arguments about Jax 's gender are getting annoying, especially when there's a more important part of the character that I actually do relate to)
