[1 YoE, Software Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Switzerland]

Hi everyone! I’m trying to break into the machine learning field as an ML Engineer, but I’m having a really tough time. Right now, I can't seem to land any roles at all, not even internships.

I’d love to get a brutal resume roast and some honest feedback to see what I am doing wrong.

Here is my situation and context:

• Target Role: Machine Learning Engineer (Junior or Internships).
• Target Industry: Tech.
• Location/Mobility: Based in Como, Italy, targeting roles in Switzerland. I am fully willing to relocate.
• Visa Status: EU Citizen (EU passport), so I do not require visa sponsorship for Switzerland (BG-ED/ALCP).
• Current Challenge: I'm getting zero traction. I am applying to both junior positions and internships but am consistently getting ghosted or rejected at the screening phase.

What I need help with: Since I'm not getting past the initial resume screen, I need a top-to-bottom critique. I don't have a specific section I'm worried about, so feel free to tear the whole thing apart. Are my projects not tailored enough for a proper MLE role? Is the layout failing the ATS?
