Would psychedelics make dying more peaceful?

I was diagnosed with cancer and I know I'm probably going to die in a hospital bed. This had me thinking that if I know it's getting close to my time should I just start macro micro-dosing? I'm just curious if anyone else is considering it or knows someone who has. I know it won't leave any long term damage.
