iPad mini comfortable for watching movies, reading news, and light gaming?

I’d be primarily using this in the morning as a newspaper while I have coffee, but will also be bringing it with me to work quite a bit for downtime.

I really like the idea of it being around the size of a
Kindle, super portable.

How does it hold up for movies? Does it feel too small or is it generally decent? I’d also be using it for some light gaming - things like Balatro and Magic Arena.
