Connor Murphy Staged His Death
I've become increasingly convinced that Connor Murphy's reported death is the planned conclusion to the performance he recently described.
Just 8 days before the reports of his death, Connor released a 1 hour conversation with a psychiatrist. Throughout that interview, he repeatedly explained that his recent behaviour was part of an intentional performance rather than evidence that he had lost touch with reality.

You can tell from the video that the primary purpose of the conversation is to make the video and upload it, and not get any psychiatric help. He dominates the narrative and leaves the psychiatrist to play a minor reactive role. The psychiatrist is there to legitimise the video, legitimise the message. The video was left for us to find.
Among the points he made were:
- He stated that he was fully in control of his mind and behaviour.
- He wanted people to know that it was a performance and that he was okay.
- He was putting on an acting performance or "play" on YouTube.
- The performance was approaching its conclusion.
- There would be a major ending to the project.
- He said he had been speaking to local newspapers to help promote the project.
- He said some of his friends were aware of and involved in what he was doing.
- He commented that a psychiatric institution would be an ideal place to hide out and disappear because of patient confidentiality.
- He claimed that he was only pretending to inject gold on camera and was not actually doing it.
- He discussed the idea of Jesus staging his death, disappearing, and later returning, and how this is similar to the play he's doing.
Taken together, these statements seem remarkably consistent with the events that reportedly followed. He publicly announced that he is creating a fictional performance, he promises a dramatic ending, says that friends are involved, and openly discusses the concept of staging a death before disappearing.
The stories about gold injections, the increasingly bizarre behaviour, the condition of his house, and videos from people around him describing his apparent mental decline could all be interpreted as elements of the same narrative that he himself later described as an act. You can see from the state of his house that it was recently covered in paint, I don't think this is the sign of someone who has completely lost touch with reality, I think it's a stage play. It was restrained, cleanable. The house was only rented on a 3 month term, no deposits will be post after a quick cleanup.
Regarding the man in the wig who claims to be Connor's friend putting out a video about him injecting gold, comes across as a skit rather than genuine. He's holding back a smirk at several points as he describes his recently passed friend, he doesn't get emotional at all despite talking about the death of one of his idols.
I've seen videos online of what appear to be Connor's body being pulled out of the water and then in a bodybag. These videos could be from anywhere, and even if they are of connor I still believe he is alive and that the "rescue team" were all in on it and part of the act. I question where these videos came from, but even if real and from a third party, I still believe it was a performance.
I suspect he made a big scene so that people were watching, went out into the lake, already had a diver down there a spare oxygen mask. He goes to an agreed point, goes under the water and a diver provides him with air. After some time passes and it be reasonable to presume he's dead, they then stage the body recovery... other divers go in, "recover" the "body".. get him on a boat, get him in a bag, into the back of a van (likely but not seen) then off to the hideout place.
Connor himself told his audience that what they had been watching was a carefully constructed performance with a major finale.
