Struggling with dating in my 20s, no one has social skills
Anyone else in their early 20s having difficulty finding anyone dateable? I (22F) am struggling, and I feel like my standards are pretty low. I’m looking for a guy who must: have a job (literally anything, he just has to work), can hold a conversation (I can be awkward too, but just do your best). I’m so sick of guys being completely unable to talk to me, like at least try. I know it’s uncomfortable, but it’s literally killing me when I can’t even get through the “hi, how are you?” “I’m good, how are you?” with a man. I’m usually introverted myself, but can at least have the decency to be polite when interacting in public. I recently met someone I really liked around my age and attempted to get to know better, only to find out he didn’t feel the same way. I then realized the main reason I even liked him was because he could hold a conversation and I felt acknowledged. Anyone else struggling like I am? I feel like I’m doomed at this point, because I can easily talk to older people, but it seems any man age 20-30 ignores me like the plague.
