Symptoms in a 16 month old

Just stating upfront that I will more than likely do the endoscopy to see if my toddler has EOE. My pediatrician is on the fence and has left it to me to decide.

The symptoms/reasons for concern are:

- Not eating solids well (pocketing, stuffing her mouth and then spitting it all out, refusing). She had a better eating streak 13-15 months but the last month has been hard. However, she has never been a good solids eater.

- Allergies: milk, eggs, fish, most nuts, sesame

- Growth curve drop (though recently she recovered to around the 10th percentile where she's always been)

- Eczema, though not extreme

Possible explanations are:

- She's just a picky eater. My son was similar, my sister and I were also bad eaters as toddlers.

- She's teething. Her pediatrician said her mouth is bright red and swollen and she's getting teeth all over her mouth.

- She is an avid breastfeeder. She gets many calories still from breastmilk.

- We live in a very dry climate.

She doesn't present and hasn't ever presented many of the classic symptoms I see on this sub---vomiting, reflux, discomfort. She's high-energy and ahead on all her milestones so I'm not worried about failure to thrive at the moment.

Does this seem like EOE to you more knowledgeable folks out there? Again, I will likely do the endoscopy but perhaps I'm dragging my feet a little because I don't want to put her through that if I don't have to.
