How can I fix the surface of the model so all the faces are equal and have the same shape?

Unsolved

I'm trying to remove this bump in the middle of this model, but I ended up deforming the faces that it caused these weird sharp spikes on the inside of the model, and when I deleted and tried to redo I couldn't bring back the triangulated faces to be the same as before.

So my goal is to remove the bump, and smooth out the surface so the weird lines around the bump are not there anymore. I tried using the sculpt tools (specifically smooth, then inflate whenever to pull the shape up) but I understand that it might deform the faces so they're polygons and not triangles anymore?

Can I fix the current deformed model? Or do I have to start again from the old version? If so, Is there a way to do this without ruining the surface so much?
