Story keeps revolving around female lead

I'm writing my story, but the whole plot keeps coming back to or revolving around one character and i don't want that but how do i change that? Like they have their own lives? In the story there is 2 plots going on at the same time: 1 lovestory plot between the two leads and a war plot in the background. Any advice is appreciated
