Selling photos online through a gallery platform or a separate shop. What makes more money?
Looking for some real world insights ...So i plan on commercialising my print store and im torn between two directions
-
Invest in a dedicated client gallery platform that has a built in store backend(say something like Pic-Time or Pixieset). The automated sales funnels, emails all look interesting but feels tightly tied to client delivery.
-
Setting up an independent standalone shop via Shopify or Squarespace and handle the marketing myself completely.
People who have tried both whered you actually see the best conversion rates? I shoot a mix of event bookings and regional landscape work that I'd love to sell as fine art prints. How do you think this can be achieved without turning into a full time marketing manager?
