A small question for the dev team

Hi Mr. baron! I was curious about the factions of byeth updates. Did the development team plan the updates from the beginning of development of the 1.0 update? Or did the team decide to do the updates after they finished 1.0?

What sparked this question was the reintroduction of the scythe that was removed in the update from U12. I was curious if it was left out because the dev team knew that they would add it in the Khar-tib update, or for an unrelated reason
