44 [M4F] #NOVA/DC/DMV Just a perfect day

I was walking my dog and the Lou Reed song Perfect Day song came on my earbuds and I almost had to stop. It's a beautiful song at any time but today it really got me in the feels as the kids say. You made me forget myself/thought I was someone else, someone good

I think we are all here because we miss or lack something we need and dont get right now. For me it is that connect that stops time for a bit, where the normal becomes sublime. It can be the funny little text you get or just that flash of thinking about another person, or losing yourself in physical touch with them. That's what missing and wanting so much. I find myself here every few years because that hole in me just has never been filled.

Maybe too emo of a start, but that's the head space I am in this morning. I am 44, funny, empathetic, educated. I love to read on all subjects. Music is probably my greatest passion--I am the best car performer I have ever met. I am a dad to a little girl who means the whole world to me and I have a fulfilling if sometimes stressful job.

Ideally I would love to meet somebody over 35 (how else will you get all my elder millennial references!) that would be interested in, if we connected, eventually meeting in real life. I think having a fellow parent would be helpful, just because you know what its like, but absolutely not required. Body shape/size/whatever is absolutely nowhere near as important as your humor, smarts, compassion. If you have those qualities I would love to hear from you.

If you write include your most controversial pop culture opinion. I will lead with mine: the Muppets are the most overrated cultural phenomenon ever and I find them incredibly grating! If you still write me after that it was meant to be :)
