Unconverted Cellar Dwellers - Dehumidifier Query

It's so lovely and cool in my cellar but it Is a hive of damp and spiders. 4 large terracotta air bricks on 2 elevations but still can't store anything without rusting or disintegrating.

Is anyone spending most of their time in an unconverted cellar? How did you make it work?

Would a 20L dehumidifier running constantly be enough to make it habitable for extreme heat?

I want to know my options and drawbacks.
