Is this enough evidence of spray foam removal for mortgage provider?
Hi all,
so after recently finding out that spray foams are bad, we asked the seller to get it removed (so that we don’t have any issues at the time of remortgaging). it was open cell spray foam and came out quite easily (it was sprayed on top of the felt) and hadn’t been there for too long (probably installed in the last 5ish years). The spray foam removal company has provided a digital crrtificate confirming the date the removal was carried out, successful removal, timbers found to be in good condition. is this going to be enough? Our current (FTB) mortgage is sorted already (virtual valuation so the lender doesn’t know about the spray foam) but we’re just thinking of 5 years down the line when we’d want to remortgage.
we’re also getting a RICS level 2 survey done which will probably also comment on the condition of roof / timbers.
PS: I’d like to attach the certificate on here, how do we attach photos? 🙈
