Is it normal to be ignored by trades people?

In all honesty this unlikely to be Brighton specific but I’m worried I’ve been accidentally blacklisted as a bad customer.

Long story short, I need to get my windows replaced so I’ve been reaching out to well reviewed companies in Brighton that specialise in wooden sash. Most have completely ignored me. I followed up and even explained that it’s totally fine if they’re really busy and can’t take on any new work, just wanted to know either way…. still nothing.

If it was one or two I probably wouldn’t give it too much thought, but it’s more than that, and the pattern is making me a little paranoid that there’s some sort of list that trades people share and I’ve got a similar name to someone on it, or it actually is me that’s on it.

I’m probably overthinking this, so thought posting it on Reddit would definitely make me feel better… or much, much worse! 😆
