SANSKRIT PROGRAM WILL HURT
it will hurt your CV honestly -- a weird minor plus BA Prog upar se -- better to do an arts degree from a good south campus college, more conventional, in a relative sense more reputed, also will not hurt you down the line
if you are scared about exposure you can create that on your own by being part of cross college cells / doing comps etc
masters karna hain toh placements not needed. Go to SC. These unconventional subject combos don't have a lot of job/internship openings available to them, even in the "best" colleges. Meanwhile, south campus mein relatively competition kam hoga and degree (while not being eco or anything) is still an honours degree, so you can try your hand there.
It’s not worth it. my best friend did a BA Program in sanskrit+eco and even though he is in IIM now, but despite reaching the final round in 20–25 companies, he still got rejected from all. Many of my batchmates (from BA) are pursuing PhDs—but even a PhD doesn’t pay much. From what I’ve seen at IIMs, engineers are generally preferred, even if they’re not from tier-one colleges. Alternatively, degrees like BBA or BCom are safer options.
this is not just my opinion but a senior studying eco in hindu and another in eco in ipcw told me there is no respect whatsoever for Hindi and Sanskrit program and hons courses in DU like discrimination is real in all events and placements .
Don’t take program and hons courses in HINDI and like the one in Sanskrit, Go for English Honors courses. And yes, for MBA, students who study in English also do an MBA. Just participate in college society, do case competitions. Go to top colleges, learn from them, and make friends at SRCC. If you want to do an MBA from a good top college, start studying from the 2nd year (for CAT). develop skills through case competitions and debating, marketing clubs.
