Xgimi titan noir max ceiling mount

I have a shelf installed from my ceiling and attempted to place the projector onto the shelf and it resulted in the image being projected on the ceiling. I was able to place the projector upside down on the shelf and get the image onto the screen. However, the esthetics seem off with it upside down and I wonder if the projector has any ventilation on the top that I might be limiting. My old projector an epson 5050ub could stay upright and still project to the screen so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to do so with the titan or if I'm better off with a more traditional ceiling mount which I really don't want to do.
