Buddhist Scholars in Khmer Rouge
Would it have been an effective anti-Khmer Rouge tactic if the US had invested in anti-“disproportionate revenge” and otherwise peace oriented group of Buddhist religious scholars to lead a grassroots fighting force or force that would refute to DK
Of course the DK killed all those educated/religious scholars and figures so it would have to be assisted by US military help and protection
Anyways if there was a group of people like monks or religious scholars who tried to support or educate the countrymen more about the peaceful sides of Buddhism and reject the disproportionate revenge culture and mindset with US backing and protection would the Khmer Rouge have been so successful
