Accused of using AI... again

This is the second time I've had points taken off an assignment for alleged AI use. The first accusation was from a professor who said that my writing has an "AI cadence" (ma'am, AI has a "human cadence," but okay). This one is because I didn't realize that you have to cite references to common/well-known communication theories even if you don't use direct quotes.

Neither professor had any proof or grounds for suspicion, probably because I don't use AI for school. It's frustrating to see how easily these accusations are tossed around without any reason.
