Ugh. I bled over a box and now I’m stressed over it.

I’m in inbound, I was on the line and I noticed blood all over a box. I should’ve grabbed it and placed it under the skates, but I wasn’t thinking fast enough and there were a lot of boxes coming.

A couple minutes later, I realized the blood came from me. An old cut on my arm that had already scabbed got reopened somehow. I immediately got lightheaded.

I feel terrible. What if someone touches my blood and gets sick or hospitalized? I don’t have anything, but still, it’s someone else’s blood…

I left early. This made me feel bad, and I was worried that while pushing, it’d open up again and I wouldn’t realize it until later on. That would be bad, because what if I bled all over a product and didn’t notice it?

And what if my blood is on more than one item. That one box was all that I saw, but there could’ve been more. I’m so stressed out.

And I did not like leaving early. At all. I don’t like letting my store, my leadership, and my fellow team members down. But I had to.

Ugh. I don’t feel good about this. I don’t want a team member touching my blood, or a guest touching a product with my blood. :/
