Help narrowing down an unknown fragrance...

Apologies in advance for this stupid question... I live in Bangkok and often while walking through the mall here I've noticed a very warm, sweet woody vannilla style cologne being worn by mostly men from the Middle East (think Dubai, UAE area). I've stopped and asked them a couple of times what the fragrance is, and while they were helpful, they mentioned some random Arabic names which didn't help. I know this is kinda like asking 'do you know that song that goes la la la' but tbh, I don't have much to go on. If anyone could give me some pointers as to some cologne thatt could fit the poor description above, it would be appreciated.
