Big MyPlate.food updates: the free MyPlate Plan calculator is now in German 🇩🇪 (5 languages total), plus shareable results and meal reminders

Since MyPlate.gov got shut down, we've been keeping the MyPlate calculator and all 1,072 MyPlate Kitchen recipes alive at MyPlate.food — free, no signup needed. Just shipped a big update:

• 🇩🇪 The whole site now speaks German — the calorie calculator, BMI-Rechner, all 1,072 recipes, and a new Ernährungspyramide & Ernährungskreis explainer. English, Spanish, Korean, and French were already there — that's 5 languages now.
• 🔗 Share your results — every calculator result now has a share button that creates a link showing your exact numbers, frozen forever. Handy for teachers, dietitians, or just sending your plan to someone. Nothing gets stored on our servers — the data lives in the link itself.
• 🔔 Meal-log reminders — the calorie tracker can now send you one gentle daily reminder to log (opt-in, works as an installed app on iPhone too).
• 🧮 Clearer calculators — every result now says which equations produced it (the default is the exact same math MyPlate.gov used), the BMI dial got fixed so the needle always matches the verdict, and kids' results explain the percentile properly.

Everything starts here: myplate.food
