Fragrance loving wet shavers?

Discussion

Question for the fragrance lovers of the wet shaving community:

Many wet shaving artisans like Stirling, Ariana & Evans, HC&C, and more create fragrances inspired by well-known designer and niche perfumes. At the same time, Middle Eastern fragrance houses are producing EDPs inspired by many of those same scent profiles. Like there are MANY shaving dupes with matching fragrances for Creed Aventus AND a ton of dupes from fragrance houses.

If you wanted a certain fragrance DNA, which route would you choose?

Would you go for the artisan fragrance? A middle eastern clone? The original fragrance?

Have you ever compared an artisan interpretation against a dedicated clone house version of the same fragrance? Which one won for you, and why?

I personally dip my toes in both originals and inspirations and sometimes the clones are just good enough to scratch my itch, and for others I have found no replacement. Just looking for your opinions and my next spoiling set!
