Advice regarding girl

So i like this girl, she's my junior in college. So if i start from the beginning, before i got accepted by her on insta, we had talked maybe once or twice in college which was very brief too. So, the start of the last month i complimented her story and she took it well i guess. After which i tried starting a convo but she just wouldn't give much of an answer. I confessed to her last week and she said that she got out of her last relationship recently and needs time to which i agreed and said that I'd wait and until then we could just talk and hangout when she's comfortable. Well i have been trying to start a conversation since but haven't been getting any positive response out of her. What should I do, i dont want to give up
