Industrial Engineer wanting to move to Australia
I am currently studying masters of industrial engineering in Germany and I am looking for opportunities to get to Australia on a more permanent base. I have been to Aus twice (holiday, exchange sem) and I am doing research on the different types of visa since.
Of course Id like to get a job as an engineer or in any related field (manufacturing, sales, project management, ...) as I also already gathered a lot of work experience (dual study, working student jobs, internshis). However I know the job situation over there seems to be quite bad these days, as far I know from reddit and various articles on the net.
Is there anyone who recently immigrated to Australia as a young professional? How did you do it? I was thinking about getting a WHV, then trying to get into an internship or maybe even a junior role and through this to a 482 sponsorship. I dont know if that is realistic at all or if I should not waste my time trying and rather gather more work experience in my country. I am also aware of the the opportunity to transfer if a german company is willing to pay AND has a branch in Australia, however I would think this is a very uncertain path. Let me know if any of you recently went through this and how it turned out for you!
