VP visits

Just found out VP of East zone will be in district August week 1. Anyone ever had that level visit and have tips outside of make the store look perfect? Which is BS based on hours funded. We have a tough shopper so it’s already going to take 100 hours the week of to make it look perfect since they chopped hours back so hard. All the other GMs are freaking out and I’m not overly concerned about it, just know that it’s going to take a lot of effort at the last minute due to volume that week.

DM just said to make sure the visit doesn’t get centered around hiring needs, which is also garbage. If I had a FT associate hired, everyone else would average <8 hours a week outside of book weeks or heavy markdowns. But yeah, have 12 people available for truck shifts but they can’t close M-Th so hire 6 people for nights/weekends also. Average associate over 15 hours, what a joke. 18x15=270 + 200 for leaders. What do you know, I’m 60 hours over payroll. But I better add that FT.

Overall, I can’t wait for this visit, obviously.
