I've heard all the mean things said about us. Sometimes to my face.

"You arent a woman and its rude to pretend you are."

"Its worse than blackface which is so demeaning."

"You're sick, mentally ill, broken."

"Pervert."

Luckily we arent policed in America and most modern countries. But we can be splashed with emotion and frustration from people who refuse to look beyond the surface. Ive been the brunt of these types of comments and it hurts.

But...
BUT......

Its not worth fighting against. You won't convince a hard nosed person to understand you. You may convince a friend to open, but not through combat. Dont bring hate to hate.

Plus, its not in the nature of a the feminine spirit to fight fight fight. At least not my own.

Here's the flip side of the coin.
Read closely:

For every negative comment. There are dozens of positive comments. A kind word, a compliment on your style. "You look pretty."

And they come from all types. Men and women of all ages, shapes and sizes.

As ridiculous as the arguments against us are. They dont have to be a focal point and they dont have to go away for you and me to gain confidence to shine.

If the world has to accept us before we shine, we will never shine. There are more complimentary people than negative people. There are more smiles than smirks. Read my other posts and social experiments and hopefully, you will be free to shine too.

If you already do proudly wear your second skin, Im happy for you. I hope to see you on this amazing roller coaster ride.

Here's to us!
