Im considering a LDR, advice wanted!!

I’ve been seeing a girl who’s on a semester abroad in my country and she’s due to go back to her home country soon. We’ve really connected emotionally, politically and sexually and I really like her. I’m usually the type to date multiple women at once but I’ve found myself naturally focusing on her and not exploring anyone else because no one is like her.

She’s explicitly expressed wanting to continue to date when she’s back in her country and I’m unsure. I’ve never been in an LDR before, especially across different timezones but I also know I’ve never felt this strongly about a person before or connected this easily.

So I come to Reddit lesbians!! Those of you who have been in an LDR, what was it like? How do you maintain it and do you have any advice? Should I even do it or is it naive to pursue this? Thank you
