World of Warships Update 15.6 Tier IX Brawl format starts this Wednesday.

World of Warships gets Update 15.6 this Wednesday, July 15th, introducing a new Tier IX Brawl format. On paper, the mechanics of this first brawl differ significantly from standard gameplay.

The mode uses a 4v4 format restricted to battleships, cruisers, and destroyers. The real change lies in the specific physics and combat modifiers Wargaming is implementing. Ramming damage is reduced by 99% for all participating ships. Additionally, ship speed is buffed, while gun and torpedo tube traverse speeds are increased.

Under these rules, standard tactical positioning and collision penalties don't apply. The 4v4 setup means a coordinated division's got a direct advantage over solo queue players.
