GGPoker Ocean Rewards - Why am I receiving only 50 TP per $1 rake instead of 100 TP?
Hi everyone,
I'm mainly playing Spin & Gold on GGPoker.
While checking my Ocean Rewards, I noticed something that confused me.
In the Spin & Gold section of the client, it clearly states:
Ocean Rewards: 100 Tide Points + 100 Diamonds per $1 rake.
However, today I tracked my sessions and found that I was only receiving about 50 Tide Points for every $1 of rake generated.
I contacted GGPoker support, and this was their response:
"PVI (Player Value Index) is a factor used in the Ocean Rewards loyalty program. Ocean Rewards takes into account numerous factors, including but not limited to game type and player behavior. Rake paid is only one factor among many used to determine the rate of point accrual. The exact coefficient for your account is not disclosed."
This surprised me because the client seems to state a fixed rate of 100 TP per $1 rake, while support says the actual rate depends on a hidden PVI and other undisclosed factors.
I'm not trying to accuse GGPoker of anything—I just want to understand how this works.
My questions are:
Has anyone else experienced receiving fewer than 100 TP per $1 rake?
Has your TP rate changed over time?
Do winning players generally receive a lower TP rate?
Is there any way to know or improve your PVI?
Has GGPoker ever publicly explained exactly how PVI works?
I'd really appreciate hearing from players who have tracked their TP/rake over a large sample.
Thanks!
